I am pleased to announce that yet another weird attack on the art and science of Chiropractic and our scope of practice, SB 1314, introduced by REPUBLICAN LAWYER, BORN IN CALIFORNIA, CHRIS HARRIS, in Arlington, District 9, has been defeated, and Chiropractic doctors may still lawfully practice acupuncture. “Props” go out to the Texas Chiropractic Association and Dr. Greg Nelson, as well as all the Doctors of Chiropractic, their friends, families, patients, and the good citizens of Texas who told their Representatives they do NOT want such an attack on Chiropractic to go forward. This does beg the serious question as to WHY Chris Harris, Texas Senator apparently found that Arlington and District 9 had no problems that needed to deal with, and that with all that free time, he wanted to attack Chiropractic doctors by way of this SB 1314, when these doctors are just helping patients, and did nothing to provoke his vitriole. News reporters should ask why he did this.
