If birds of a feather stick together, does Senator John McCain believe that “all Americans are whiners”?

His economic advisor, former REPUBLICAN Senator Phil Gramm of Texas, now vice chairman of the Swiss bank UBS, issued this derogatory statement, since repudiated by McCain. However, since Gramm and McCain ARE birds of a feather (Republicans) does this mean McCain secretly believes, in his heart of hearts, that this statement is true?

  1. No, McCain is not Phil Gramm, It is not because his economic advisor told it, that McCain think as him.

I think it comes from Obama’s team

  2. You’re in denial if you think that Americans don’t whine.
If you’re going to quote someone, quote them accurately.”
“We have sort of become a nation of whiners. You just hear this constant whining, complaining about a loss of competitiveness, America in decline.”

  3. Probably about as much as Obama believes in “Goddamn America!” and we are the “USA of KKK!”. It works both ways you know.

  4. Both of these candidates should thank God that Americans only “whine” because if they were people of action: They would run both of these unqualified candidates out of town. No, not only them but the entire batch of our Senate and Congress who do nothing but pander to us during an election. If you come to them with a problem any other time they will not even speak to us. Only in America could 2 candidates like Obama and McCain have a shot at becoming President of the U.S. So, they should thank God that we are whiners instead of action takers or we would take action and write in… NONE OF THE ABOVE … on election day.

  5. About as much as it means Dr. Ron Paul, who, by your logic, must be birds of a feather with Bush (Republicans) secretly believes in his heart of hearts that we were right to invade Iraq and increase spending.

You want birds of a feather, Obama and Jimmy Carter. Check Jimmy Carter’s rhetoric when he was a young inexperienced candidate, it was “Change”, “New Politics”, “Changing Washington”.

  6. Hello Genius – he has already repudiated this statement – hmmm the same day it happened.

Not days or weeks letting it fester, letting people speculating, and then figuring it is a good idea to say something a la Rev. Wright.

Not all Americans are whiners just the fools that believe the MSM and the ‘mental recession’. Which probably means most Democrats as an understanding of economics seems elusive.

And oh yeah – Phil Gramm has a PhD in Economics so I am lot more comfortabel with anything he has to say that Barack.

  7. It is true, this country whines like they’re still stuck on their momms’a teet, look around you.

  8. If the Aliens were about to invade Earth, Would son of Cain know where the keys to our Naquida Powered Ascenders Defenders are? Ask yourself, do I want a Planet of Candid Hominids seeking the Next Great Adventure or do I want to be a slave to the House of Set?
I realize my answer can neither be confirmed nor denied as a provable opinion based on hidden but actual facts but what if it is? Obama is All men and beholden to NUN.

McCain is a nice enough old duffer but I doubt he would drive himself in the 312. No Animosity towards him, but the failed tactics of let’s Charge it to the National Debt and sell ourselves to Dubai and China are not what THIS voting Citizen intends for her Nieces and Nephews Nieces and Nephews.
