Passed into law by the Governor, it will go into effect October 1. Montana has vowed to sue the Fed if they attempt to shut down any Montana-based manufacturer, and arrest any Federal agent who attempts to enforce Federal law that is more restrictive than Montana’s law. When it comes to a head, will the Fed finally realize they have no overstepped their authority with the States, or will they ignore Montana’s sovereignty and try to enforce Federal regulation where it is not authorized?
How soon before Texas and other States pass similar legislation, and at what point will the Fed acquiesce, or force civil war?
I’m lovin that a state has finally drawn a line in the sand and said, "Federal control stops here."

A second civil war would be over before it started. The United States Federal Government controls the high ground – in this case, the skies, and space. That would be jet planes/bombers and satellites, for the uninformed. How are you going to hide from a satellite?

There won’t be a "civil war".
This battle will be waged in the courts.

Arrest any federal agent who attempts to enforce federal law??
Sounds extreme, but hopefully the people should do what they should do, and maybe that would be the first step into taking back the Constitution.

Montana law that allows them to "arrest any Federal agent who attempts to enforce Federal law that is more restrictive than Montana’s law" — it sounds like something even Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia would declare unconstitutional.

Not sure what the problem is. Why would the Fed Gov shut down manufacturers in Montana? Are they making fully automatic weapons?
More info please?

Forty-six cents of every dollar state government of Montana spends comes from the federal government. The federal government will just cut of the money.

Because the law applies only to those guns that are made and kept in Montana, its effect is limited. The state is home to just a handful of specialty gun makers, known for recreating rifles used to settle the West, and most of their customers are out-of-state. So as long as the guns remain in the state of Montana, there will be no registration, etc. But how is the state of Montana going to make sure the weapons do not leave the state? Of course they will have to register the weapons in order to track them. So in effect the law sounds bold but lacks any real punch.

No it won’t cause a civil war.
Also, "the Fed" is short for the Federal Reserve, "the Feds" is short for the US government.
