Who’s manufacturing? Union people get snuck in while real constituents are locked out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=–ZJhR3T4aw

So, they’ve taken part of my vid and turned it into a tv commercial: People are shouting and angry, sure, but this is not by any stretch an unruly mob… Just watch the vid – anyone can see that. Must’ve struck a nerve, don’t you think? Textbook Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals, number 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

Rep Doggett met with constituents outside a grocery store in south Austin regarding the health care bill. Apparently the event was mostly advertised in liberal leaning local publications. He did not bring a megaphone, so hearing what he had to say was difficult. When he started making the move to leave, the crowd erupted chanting “Just say no!” His worker got the car ready to shuttle him away but the crowd surrounded it and it took a while for him to get out of the parking lot. The whole time, the “Just say no!” chant continued. It probably won’t matter – from his facial expression, body language, and what was heard to come out of his mouth, he’s for the the health care bill in its present form and has no openness to change on that.
Mr Doggett did not spend time to get to know the crowd. If he had spent time actually talking to those that were there with an open mind, he would have seen that there was a significant number of Democrats there that do not support the current health care bill.
Please note that I was not chanting. I did not arrive in a bus, and I was not paid to be there. Neither was anyone else that I spoke with. I simply showed up to see what the congressman had to say. His resolve to vote his ‘conscience’ even if it goes against the desires of his constituents is not at all what our representative government is about.

This video is old …
This video is old news… why is anyone still bothering trying to comment on it??
Comments are done precisely because this is old news and because nothing constructive was being posted… Just Obamacare trolls that appeared to not have a job or were being paid to be in the comments full time.
Get a life and move on, folks.

So, yes, comments are done.
Comments are now …
Comments are now disabled because the angry lefties are listing names in an attempt at intimidation.
That’s all folks.
Now how on earth …
Now how on earth would you know where “donna, Carmen, Darla D. Ron E. and Mac live? Hmmmmmm? It’s a little difficult to look them up since there are no last names. You didn’t bother to look any of them up. You just infiltrated these groups and copied the member list. Another far left tactic. Nobody believes anything you say Billy. Now you start passing out names to make these people targets for far left terrorism. Wow! You are pathetic!
A little recent …
A little recent history that may offer some insight to the anger of the folks in this video. They came to hear what he had to say. But he showed up with no microphone or bullhorn and no intention of being heard. It only fueled the Cap & Trade fire. Many of these ppl had called his office to voice their wishes on the subject and were told “Don’t worry, he’s voting against it”. When the day came, in the morning, he indicated a “no” but in the final vote…he voted in favor. Untrustworthy.
Billy: I think the …
Billy: I think the people you listed in your litany of names should all sue you. Although there were a few people there I did not know (so 1-2 of the folks on your list may have been there) I do know most of the people in this video since they are my neighbors. Wouldn’t you just love it if they were bused in as you suggest. Nope…real angry constituents. If you’re going to list names, get them right, huh?
Nice try Billy. I …
Nice try Billy. I know these people. They are my neighbors. We live in his district.
They do live in his …
They do live in his district Billy. They are my neighbors.
You have to wonder …
You have to wonder how this group is going to vote Doggett out of office – maybe they do not understand that you have to live in his district before you can vote in his district.
i dare say the …
i dare say the people on this site complaining are not going to vote their republican representative out even though they voted for the TARP mess – there is not that kind of honesty here
Excellent we …
Excellent we finally found some middle ground, well i have to work tommarow, so im going off the air.
No, mine are …
No, mine are elseware, sorry i am not willing to give my location, but i already know that all of my reps are going to support this bill, i wrote all of them, with simple questions and asked them, not to support this unless these issues were addressed, i got the same stoupied, copy and paste responses from all of them.
JairEmia
i would …
JairEmia
i would support a public vote – in fact i would prefer that they turn out three or four bills with one total repub and one totally dem and some variations in the middle – winner take all
@ Mrbilly
yes i …
@ Mrbilly
yes i heard about that, and thought the same thing at the time… although i couldn’t vote back then.
I see the point you are trying to make, but, just because he was populer back when he was elected, dosen’t mean that he gets an automatic green card from all of his people. many may not have know that this would be an issue back when they voted for him.
AND BTW – Doggett …
AND BTW – Doggett knew that his constituency (even though liberal) did not support TARP and voted against it – ask your representative how they voted – if they are in Texas they must have voted for it
Doggett represents …
Doggett represents district 25 – he has always won 65% of the vote or better – he knows his voters
i was talking about the presidential elections of 2000 – when the courts chose our president – never should have happened – even if it did end up with Bush as president it should have been desided by a public vote and not a court
when the public gave up their democratic right they gave away their government
@ Mrbilly
which …
@ Mrbilly
which constituents is he representing? since it seems that the majority of people (esspecially in texas) are against this bill.
The attack actually happened in 2001, not trying to be rude or anything, a simple mistake can happen to anyone.
A public vote on this would be great! just like when we elect the president, then we could see what the people really want. then it woulden’t be up to our reps.
It was Bush that …
It was Bush that started the government hand out to industry – by the time Obama got in we were already $350 billion into it – i would have favored a complete melt down because i am prepared for it – 20 acres of wilderness with solar and wind power – it would not phase me – but i do think you and everyone here would be freaking out in the mass chaos that would take place
Doggett is …
Doggett is representing his constituents so forget that
hot heads do not achieve the best results – Iraq did not attack us – that was from Afghanistan and we totally screwed that up when we could have made a difference – now it may be too late –
This same group should have been up in arms in 2000 and demanded that everything stop until we had a true vote by the public
@ Mrbilly
yeah, …
@ Mrbilly
yeah, but they DID attack us first, the American people wanted action at the time, it wasen’t till later that the war became unpopuler. What would people have said if they had chosen to do nothing?
The only thing the …
The only thing the Dems are trying to get done is a total gov’t take over of the private sector. That’s what I give them credit for. They aren’t even trying to disguise it any more.
You are right …
You are right JairEmia. They are scared, not thugs, not a mob, not bussed in, just scared for their children and grandchildren. And this came on the heals of Cap & Trade. In the AM, Doggett indicated a vote against it as he had promised his constituents. But his final vote was in favor. He betrayed his constituents.
i have no pity for …
i have no pity for the repubs – they held all the marbles and did not even try to get a reform through – instead they chose to go to war with Iraq – that trillion wasted there would have taken care of our health care needs and we would be much better off now then we are – the dems are at least trying – they were voted in to do it and the repubs need to roll up their sleeves and get something through that represents their constituency best they can – but get it done
@ Homeschoolfamily …
@ Homeschoolfamily
I AGREE! put the power back in the hands of the people, i am tired of both partys manipulating people. right is just as guilty as the left. Altough i don’t think these people were nessicarily manipulated, they seem scared and they don’t really have a good way of getting their concerns across to their reps, since their reps don’t seem to care what they want.
Okay…but that …
Okay…but that point makes no sense either since the vast majority of the people opposed the bail outs. We didn’t come to the rescue by choice. Gov’t went rogue and dragged the people to the rescue.
