   in reality the bill of rights says a person can only bear fire which means have firearms in their homes and only in their homes. Drug addicts, child molesters, and criminals have been caught by police with concealed and nonconcealed weapons and they were imprisoned and not protected by the bill or rights. It would make finding criminals harders. Alot of sexual predators exist that haven’t been caught half the U. S populations so this would let them rape their victims and kill them/threaten tokill

   @safewaysecurity Well you’re simplifying it too much as well and also interpreting facts merely to support your own conclusion. Switzerland doesn’t have the same kind of social problems as Mexico and the United States. Higher education rate, better health system, more resilient economy; fewer poor and desperate people basically. I believe that decreasing the number of guns in peoples’ hands will help the problem, but not get rid of it. Nor will allowing the current trends to continue.

   @thelostism Your point is we taken, look ,you and I both know we will never get rid of guns here in the U. S. but, what we can do is tighten the laws, as much as possible, to keep them out of the hands of just anybody so easily. That can be done with improved regulation and limits to clip sizes. You don’t need a 33 round magazine to hunt.

    @dmproduction100 You cannot really compare other countries murder rates to ours. But what you can do is you can compare the murder rate and the crime rate from when law abiding citizens could own them to when they were banned. Every country that has banned firearms has seen an increase in crime such as the U. K,Australia, ect. Look at Switzerland, every household owns a FULLY AUTOMATIC rifle and they have the lowest crime and murder rate in the world. Mexico has a gun ban. . . how is it working?

But People with guns kill WAY more people than people with fists or knives. What you really need to be safe is a massive bomb. Bomb beats gun.

When I hear all the talk about our founding fathers I cringe as I think they would if they knew how their words are being twisted today. When this counrty was founded is a very different time than we have today, that is why we have amendment to the constitution. They knew this could and should change, what they never wanted was ignorance.

    @safewaysecurity You missed the point, Zamudio is not trained in this arena, you are correct, he didn’t fire his weapon, thank God he hesitated. In his own words” I almost shot the wrong person, which means he thought about it. I am extremely happy he did, the result would have been a louder cry for gun control. Guns are for personal protection and he was not in danger. Other countries seem to get along better and have less of a murder rate than the U. S. , that’s something to ponder.

    How can you say he “almost shot the wrong person” when his gun was still holstered? I repeat, he never took his gun out, he never pointed it at anybody. The guy was being a responsible gun owner who used good judgement and did not go running out guns blazing.

    dukeljk, don’t take my word for the near shooting. If you watch the interview with the man you would know he almost shoot the wrong person, not my words, his own words. The interview was on the ED Show on MSNBC last Thursday, which would have been the 13th of this month. You say you can believe it, check it out and then comment. Go to The Ed Shows Archieve and see if I am lying. You may have to wait about four or five days as the archieve is behind, its only up to Jan. 7th.
