How does it violate the constitution? And Republicans had control of both branches for a while. Why didn’t they want to pass health care reform then? It is mandatory to buy car insurance, why don’t you go up against that? You already lose hard earned money for plenty of stuff that is 100% pointless (iraq/afghansitan wars) but with health care you will actually pay for something that helps.

This kind of rhetoric makes a good point. Of course I’m cautious about rhetoric that is more fictional than an evocative allegory of an opponent’s ideology, but Rep. Grayson accurately pokes fun at the Republican’s anti-progressive stance on the health care issue. Their stance prescribes no solution, so the burden is placed on our bodies to not get sick.

There will be no rationing under the reform law. Nobody will get anything for free. It doesn’t even change the fundamental operating structure of the current system except for the fact that insurance cos. can no longer discriminate against the chronically ill, children, or elderly by denying coverage. Nor can they enact coverage ceilings.

I guess no one read the 1000 page health care plan. On pg. 29, Your health care is Rationed. on pg. 427, Gov. mandates orders for END OF LIFE, here they say in how YOUR LIFE ENDS. AND on pg. 354, GOVERNMENT will restrict enrollment of SPECIAL NEEDS people. Bill also refers to them as “RETARDED”. (New York Post. July 26, 2009). Now, if you were like me and read the ENTIRE health care bill, then you can say something on it. So please read ignorant Americans. It’s how you learn.
