Do you know the odds against getting to Heaven?

Heaven for many would be winning a lottery.
The mystical Heaven of religion depends on
what you’re willing to sacrifice for it: -reason,
-intellect,-facts of everyday observation-just like a lotto ticket buyer depends on gullibilty. An unallocated fortune will attract every flavor of reptile-brained politician (lotteries are fair game for them). John Sharp, State Comptroller of Texas who worked face-to-face with lottery insiders said,
"I underestimated the slime in the industry by a big degree." Geo. Bush was business partner with Richard Rainwater, co-founder of Gtech. George’s benefactor was the ex-
Lt. Gov., Ben Barnes, also Gtech’s lobbyist. John Osorio, ex-Insurance Commissioner & ex-jailbird, sent up for an insurance number scam won a $60.000,000.00 Texas lottery. The Quick-Pick has won 45% of all jackpots, but sells 65% of all tickets. Only the ‘brain-dead’ would imagine that this is due to chance. Do you know how lotteries are bilking your $Billions?

No one gets into heaven.

Christians believe you must repent your sins and follow Christ to Heaven. All others suffer in Pergatory or Hell.

Muslims believe you must follow Muhammad, all others go to Hell.

Just using those two examples means everyone goes to hell.

McCain denies improper relationship with lobbyist

Hello on this Thursday, February 21, 2008. I’m Kristin Volk with a UPI news headline.

Republican presidential hopeful John McCain is denying he gave special treatment to a lobbyist. Last night, the New York Times published an online piece that accuses the Arizona Senator of having a close relationship with a woman, Vicki Iseman, whose clients had business before his Senate Committee. McCain responded saying he had never done anything that would betray the public trust or make a decision that would favor a particular group. According to the paper, Iseman said she never received special treatment.

The Pentagon says it’s confident that the Navy destroyed a toxic fuel tank of a dead spy satellite, eliminating a threat to people on Earth. That satellite hasn’t worked properly since its launch two years ago, but has been orbiting with a full tank of toxic propellant. Without intervention, the satellite would have fallen to Earth by early March. Officials say the missile hit destroyed the satellite into small pieces of debris, which they say will burn up in the atmosphere over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will face off in a Democratic presidential debate this evening in Austin, Texas. It’s the first time in three weeks that the two remaining Democratic White House hopefuls have debated. Since then, Obama has been on a winning streak, capturing 10 straight contests. That momentum has forced Clinton into a position where she must win contests in Texas and Ohio next month in order to stay in the race.

A famous piece of art that’s a fixture in Washington, DC is moving to a new home. J. Seward Johnson’s sculpture called “The Awakening” was disassembled yesterday at Haines Point where it sat for nearly 30 years. The five-piece, cast aluminum piece will take up residency at the National Harbor in Prince George’s Country, Maryland. The statue, which had been on loan to the National Park Service, gives the impression of a bearded man rising from the ground.

Thanks for watching today’s news update. For all of us at UPI, have a good day!

Who says jobs americans won’t do?

OK, so he’s not much of a senator, but his Help Wanteds are awesome

Legions of aspiring lettuce-pickers are responding from around the country, including Alaska and Hawaii, to Senator John McCain, who, the Associated Press reported, offered anybody in a Michigan crowd "$50 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona."

Over 3000 have responded so far, many, bless their lettuce-pickin’ hearts, also contributing a much-needed $2 or $12 or whatever. (When you read some of the applications, you get a sense of just how precious those contributions are—both in terms of some of the respondents’ financial situations, and in terms of the 28 million lobbyist dollars the U.S. Chamber of Commerce spent last year squashing the voice of the American voter.)

If you would like to get in on the opportunity to pick lettuce for a U.S. senator, don’t delay. We want to hand-deliver these job applications as soon as Congress returns from their junkets over Easter excess. We don’t want to keep the senator waiting; who knows how badly his lettuce needs picking?

Even if, for some reason, you’ll need to pass up the chance to pick a senator’s lettuce, it’s worth reading the applications.

If you are a U.S. senator, they are epecially worth a read, because, you know, you’ll have to face one of those stupid vote things again when you get back from Thailand.

Worse, the vote will likely be about immigration, and you know how nerve-wracking those can be. The Party pulling this way, the constituents flooding your office with faxes pulling that way and causing members of an overworked staff to snap at one another—even to tear up and rush indecorously from the room.

Worst, that intolerable advertising man from Texas, Karl Rove, will be hanging around screeching at everyone that you all hate brown people.

Do yourself a favor, Senator, spend an hour or two reading these job applications from real people. They will make it crystal clear where your duty lies (and give you the ammunition necessary to send Rove scurrying).

Who say’s jobs Americans won’t do ?, the Mexican Lovers in our Government. that’s who.

McCain’s Character vs Obama’s?

Who do you think has better ethics? Who has the better character?

Before you answer consider the following:

McCain was far deeper in bed with Charles Keating than Obama was with Tony Resko. Keating gave far more to McCain’s campaign than Resko gave to Obama’s. In fact, Keating was one of McCains’ top fundraisers. Keating paid for many McCain vacations and flights to his resort homes, which McCain never disclosed (by law he must as a congressman) until years later during the Keating 5 fiasco. Cindy McCain and her dad invested $400,000 in a Keating strip mall. But here’s the big difference, Obama dropped Resko like a wet cigar when Resko’s started stinking. McCain on the otherhand, stepped in and tried to prevent a Senate hearing into Keating’s fowl deeds. Keatings stench was all over McCain during those hearings. How McCain stayed out of jail is amazing.

OK, I know I know the Keating stuff was 20 years ago. Fair enough, but has McCain changed? Well now, McCain has a whole army of Keatings working for him, more lobbyists than any other presidential candidate in history. He On March 7, 2007, McCain named ex-Texas Representative Tom Loeffler, who has one of the most lucrative and influential practices in the nation’s capital, as his campaign co-chair. In the same month, McCain named former Washington Sen. Slade Gorton, now a heavyweight lobbyist, as his honorary chairman for Washington state. Loeffler’s client list includes PhRMA, the drug industry association; Southwest Airlines; Toyota; and Martin Marietta. Gorton represents, among others, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp., Weyerhaeuser and Fidelity National Financial. In addition, David Crane, now the campaign’s senior policy advisor, was a senior executive at The Washington Group, a firm with 2006 billings of $10.4 million and 52 clients, including Delta Airlines, the Association of American Railroads, and the governments of Panama and Bangladesh. And Charlie Black, who is now a campaign spokesman appearing on McCain’s behalf on radio, television, and as a "spin-doctor" after debates, is chairman of BKSH & Associates, with lobbying billings of $7.6 million in 2006, representing J.P. Morgan, Occidental and General Motors.

All told, there are 11 current or former lobbyists working for or advising McCain, at least double the number in any other campaign. Among the current and former lobbyists working for McCain are: Campaign CEO Rick Davis, a partner at Davis Manafort, where his clients have included SBC Communications and Verizon; and former Davis Manafort associate, National eCampaign Director Christian Ferry. At the end of 2006, Mike Dennehy, who founded The Dennehy Group, a New Hampshire lobbying firm, was appointed McCain’s national political director. He gave up that post in May to become a senior campaign advisor.

McCain’s new buddies make Keating look like an amateur. They are far more intelligent than Keating ever was. In otherwords, they are good at hiding the stench of their crookedness.

obama is honest, intelligent and cares about the poor, will give college students money to go to college, will give everyone free health care and those in need tax breaks and make the rich pay their way instead of raping the working class. obama will take from the rich and give to the poor like robin hood. and thats a good thing.
