Most of money from University Park’s Potomac Park sale has gone to upgrades
When city officials agreed to sell Potomac Park to SMU for $2.2 million, they vowed to plow the money back into the park system. Now, one year later, most of the money has been spent. About $1 million went toward finishing a major renovation at the newly named Holmes Aquatic Center, and another $1 million went to upgrades at Coffee Park.
